Top 11 Things I Love About my Husband ...

Today; October 27th, is my first Wedding Anniversary.

Well, by the time this blog is published, it will no longer be my Anniversary. But right now, as I write this, it is. Today at this same time, we were cutting into our wedding cake while a Harry Connick Jr. song played in the background and our friends and family looked on. The first year of my marriage has gone by super fast. It feels like a few months, rather than a whole year. So on this day; I want to dedicate my blog to my wonderful husband; and tell him some of the many reasons that I love him. And although there are hundreds and hundreds of reasons; this list goes to eleven.

The TOP 11 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY HUSBAND:

1. His shoulders and chest make for a great, cheap pillow.

2. He is one of the only heterosexual men that I know who genuinely enjoys attending a Broadway Show. (We have gone to many since he moved to the NY area.)

3. He walks over to my side of the car; holds the door open for me; waits until I am safely inside, and then closes it. That is great!

4. He truly loves to see me succeed in life; and is unbelievably happy when I do.

5. He took ballroom dancing lessons for our Wedding/First dance; even though he hated every single second of it.

6. He goes to see romantic comedies with me; and sometimes, he even likes them. (Yes, he likes the movie "Sleepless In Seattle," and no, I swear; he's not gay.)

7. He makes me breakfast in bed. (Okay, fine ..it was just ONE time. But that one time was very unexpected and extremely appreciated.)

8. He transformed himself from someone who said that baseball was "boring;" to someone who not only watches the entire baseball game; but also the pre-game show, post-game show, and spring training. (GO YANKEES!)

9. How passionate he gets when he A. plays guitar, or B. plays tennis.

10. The way he gives me kisses on my forehead; or holds my hand while lying in bed.

11. He packed up his entire Florida life; put it into a moving truck; and moved himself to New Jersey. He took a huge risk on our love, and made the ultimate sacrifice. And he never, ever mentions it or reminds me of it. Ever.

I love you honey! HAPPY FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!

Happy Anniversary!!! I guess it's a good thing that it feels like so much less than a year. My favorite thing about John? Hmm, how to choose. There's so many. I think that he's such a genuinely kind person. He's a rare gem in that way. T'was what first attracted me to him.

Beautiful, all of it... congrats to you and your husband!
What I love about my husband is that he's my best friend, and we get a kick out of the smallest things together. I will never forget that first moment that I saw him on our wedding day, I turned to face him and the tears started flooding. I never knew that I could ever be so lucky as to end up with such a caring, funny and passionate man.

Hey kelley...I loved this column and this 11 especially!!! Mine would read very, very similarly. I love how he kisses me on the forehead or holds my face in his hands and just looks into my eyes, I love how he cheers with me for Green Bay even though i KNOW he'd rather be watching something else...he watches football every weekend with me cause he knows how much I love it, I love how he sings to me, even though he can absolutely not sing, I love how he opens the car door for me, and closes it once I am inside, same with chairs at restaurants or doors anywhere, even at home, I love how he rearranged his whole life and made me and my kids feel like part of his when we packed up and moved here last Summer, and supported me in every way while I looked for a job I'd like instead of just hte first one I could find, I love how he likes most chick flicks as much as me, and how our favorite movie was the same...When Harry Met Sally...so now we have two copies, I love how he shares the things that are most important to him with me, and absolutely makes me part of them, like racing, his love of music, and most of all, his huge wonderful family, I love the way he calls me every morning on his way to work, and every evening on the way home, just to talk about our days or nothing at all, I love the way he sees the best in me and is so proud and happy about even the tiniest (in my eyes) accomplishments of mine, I love how he holds me every night when we fall asleep, and most of all, I love my life with him, my future with him, and the amazing sense of happiness and serenity that he gives to me, every day, just by saying "I love you". This column was a GREAT idea, Kelley...and I'm thrilled you two had such a happy anniversary and I love your story, every time I hear it. You two are great!!

Thats wonderful. I hope he continues to be caring through all the tough times ahead as all marriages have them. It is wonderful that you care about each other so much. Married 7 years through ups and downs, still love him when I hate him.

Kelley, come back! I keep looking for a new blog and as you already know I am having no luck. When is something new going to happen here? I hope when it does it is soon and it is a new blog from you!

I dont know Danille. I honestly dont... the powers that be have taken a hiatus; so if youre missing your Brideorama fix, maybe email them and let them know.:)

I already tried that. The "contact us" button doesn't work. It didn't on the 14th and it still doesn't. Is there another way to tell The Powers That Be that I want some new content in what now feels like a ghost town?
