Signature Cocktails: Mimosa Punch

POSTED BY Colleen Mullaney, 04 October 2007

Mimosa Punch

Serves 8

Punch bowl or large pitcher

2 cups mandarin orange juice

2 cups pear nectar

½ cup Cointreau

Two bottles chilled dry champagne

2 cups ice cubes

Orange slices and fresh sliced strawberries for garnish

Combine the orange juice, pear nectar, and Cointreau in the punch bowl and mix well. Just before serving, slowly pour in the champagne. Add the ice cubes, garnish with orange and strawberry slices, and serve. If you’re pouring into glasses, mix the first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher. Pour into bottom third of each glass, and fill with Champagne. Garnish with fruit and serve. Note: Tangerine or blood orange juice works just as well.

This is no old and predictable mimosa by any means! Fresh mandarin orange juice gives it just the right twist, with the pear nectar adding a sweet finish. Perfect from shower to reception, and any wedding gathering in-between. Mimosa Punch is easy to make and perfect in batches, and full of flavor that will have your guests coming back for more!
